Obviously, there comes a time when the incremental impact of "just one more" approaches zero but the example you are giving while emotionally appealing, is quite bogus.

Dearest Karen, you're speking from your heart and emotions and not from logical thinking.

Take the emotion out of it, know your numbers, and stick to them!

Southern California lifestyle is great and all, but financial freedom, travel, emotional / physical health, and a happy wife / kids are much more important to me than owning a ocean front home in Newport beach paying $50,000/year on property and mello roos tax.

I only tell you this to help you not invest emotionally any further in this pursuit, and go further down the rabbit hole before you realize it. 

Hope that makes sense... don't get too emotive about a deal, that is just question of NUMBERS!!! 

Not asking this to be mean but do you have some sort of mental or emotional issue?   

One more tip – people remember stories that trigger their emotions.

Its a rough industry that can & will chew you up & spit you out if you do not have thick enough skin to push emotion to the side & make the tough calls based on the bottom line.

I am confident that I have skills around navigating complexity, especially when there's a lot of emotions attached to it, since that's what happens in my counseling sessions.My plan is to continue reading articles, watching YouTube videos, and practicing with my business partner.
