Are you getting a signed contract for your deal/involving an attorney or just using some “legal-zoom” type resource to draft the terms?

If not than most states have on the State's State Department Website (or something similarly titled) a list of banking institutions who are legally registered as banks in the state you're in.

I’m looking in New Jersey because I’m hoping to be a part of it , hands on , and be part of the process.  

I feel that I keep on losing out on deals because I'm too paranoid of the legal side of starting an LLC or corporation with someone.

Is there a legal standard in this case for distribution of a late fee when the management agreement does not specify?

BRRR is slow fyi... you're not going to be able to ramp up that quickly unless you have cash in hand to start out with.With that said, if you over leverage your LTV of the portfolio will be to high and you won't have any equity if the values dip too low.

So is it legal in CA to restrict payment to Check or Cash?
