Is the ROI worth the extra cost?  

While this is certainly a way to find syndications, it comes at a cost because the crowdfunding portal is a business and has to receive revenue in order to survive.This revenue can come from the investor or the syndicator, or both.

The amount you'll save off of the purchase price will be significantly more than what the vacancy will cost.

As a PM I can justify the cost of this software, if I was self managing 1-2 units I likely would not. 

@Jake Andronico A reverse 1031 exchange allows you to buy a replacement property before selling your relinquished property, offering flexibility in competitive markets and deferring capital gains taxes.

That $250K cost needs to come from somewhere.

@Mike Hern yeah, I did but it just seemed like more headache and costs that I wasn’t looking to take on.
