Sure, you won't see everything that your contractor will, but you will see enough to get a gut impression of "do I want to move forward?".   

You just can't tell a a square of rock how great you are and expect it to be impressed with your wonderful self-confidence and positive attitude.

@Erica Larence I don't have experience investing in FL so I can only speak to RI and what I've "heard" about FL.My impression is that just about every other part of the country, including Florida, has more going on demographically and economically, than RI and the Northeast generally.So, if all other factors were equal and the #s worked in general for any given property, I think you'd have much more of a chance at appreciation due to support from more population & jobs, than Rhode Island. 

I been doing some light searching around and found some pretty impressive numbers with relatively low capital needed to achieve. 

That was my impression as well.

I have had some individuals come up from Houston to look at my operation and one even went to a real estate auction with me, (was impressed that I was able to pick up a great commercial building).  

I was under the impression that if this was served you cannot proceed with eviction and can be fined for attempting to do so.
