I did some research yesterday and actually found the data on our local market broken down by subarea.  

I was wondering, what does REIPro do to find absentee owners and pre-foreclosure properties, etc, that I could not do on my own - how do they get their data?

I have no empirical knowledge or data on this.. but I have had a lot of my clients or others ask me about dollar generals and dollar stores.and then I read an article that one or the other is shutting 50 to 100 of them.. 

You can still find value at auctions, you just have to outwork the competition and have better input data.

just selling the old systemmost counties really frown on this and make it super difficult to do.. plus you basically need to be a private detective and have Accurint data base ( lexux Nexus)  to have any assemblence of hope to get any of these deals done.
