There are 7 individual offices within the two units that are rented out.

I don't know anything about that right now and I'm not sure if that's something I want to add to my portfolio down the line or just stick with real estate, but I'd love to know how that process works, what it takes to buy a business, etc.Anybody know of other resources out there that are specific to small business investing?

There are so many resources and opportunities to network and learn now - local meet ups, webinars, etc.I'm training my own kids in RE - I pointed out that look at who else is giving you financial advice.

(And yes, I used the search tool 1st)  We are new to DST investing and now have a number of out of state DST's. 

I am running into the issue where mortgage companies cant use any of my income due to not having 2 full years of seasonal work history.

Also they are being phased out now so this year is only 60% of value.

At some point, if scaling, you run out of “deal flow” that meets your geographical, risk and return related criteria.  

How did you find this deal and how did you negotiate it?

A lot of STR policies are overpriced, and you can usually find a better deal if you push for it.

We have tried this and it was not very successful and also have received calls lately about our properties - make sure whoever you use they speak very clearly and have done real estate before.
