I currently live with my parents and am looking into getting my first duplex/triplex in the central Connecticut area, as I do not know where my next promotion to a Branch Manager will be yet (I want to make sure I buy somewhere that won't make my commute completely miserable time-wise). 

I would try to find a brokerage that promotes the investing and entrepreneurial side of real estate.

But with that dream typically comes at least a little bit of a mentality of “oh I can’t do that!”

However, we do not allow self-promotion, and posts looking for real estate agents tend to generate a lot of self-promotion from the agents on the site.We've locked this thread so it doesn't get filled with these posts.

But there is a bro mentality that often leads to people referring one of their "bro's" just because they know him - not because they know he is good at what he does.

A lot of agents have found success promoting themselves for free on social media vs. spending tons of money on the traditional tactics like mailers and door knocking.
