It’s only our third guest in our second STR and the home smells strongly of cigarette smoke.

I jave personally scrubbed the walls and ceilings in rentals a few times, from cigarettes.

Bedroom doors get kicked in, windows broken, holes appear in walls, blinds & screens ruined, cigarette burns on countertops & carpets, etc.

If the applicant reeks of cigarettes, they are not for me. 

Some specific examples include careless installation of vinyl flooring in our kitchen, resulting in irreparable damage; leaving an exposed nail in remodeled kitchen cabinetry that scratched our new range; installation of bathroom sinks with improper plumbing connections; and multiple instances of failure to remove cigarette butts, food trash, and construction waste from our property.

Only 12% of Americans smoke cigarettes, and even smokers usually smoke outside their own houses now. 

I hate cigarette smoke that much.

This could include unpaid rent, junk removal costs, or property damage—especially since the fire was found to be due to their negligent cigarette use.

You'd be spending that much just buying protection cigarettes, monthly for 20 years.

Smoking cigarettes in a unit does damage due to tar and nicotine which is not a factor with marijuana especially vaping
