As a current Mortgage Loan Officer, I'll tell you this: you're not crazy. 

I would never pay off a mortgage early and actually cash out refi as often as I can. 

My mortgage is $1085 per month.

However if the LLC's purpose is asset protection, then the borrower on the mortgage needs to be the LLC.

What alternatives exist if you need a thirty year loan but need to avoid the plethora of fees that are piled onto mortgages and you need a reasonable interest rate?

With the new year right around the corner, mortgage rates have been on the decline and could be approaching 'good' (at least in comparison to where we have been) over the past few years.

Don't look now..but mortgage rates are down by a considerable margin compared to this time last year.
