A lot of drug laws that make people criminals are stupid, so there's that, but there's a lot of crime related to the actions of addictions from theft & burglary to assaults & murder. 

Fortunately, I never experienced any break-ins or intrusions, but my thinking was that if someone did attempt to enter, I’d be notified immediately and could call local authorities to respond.I'm not completely certain about squatter rights—since they can vary by state—but in my opinion, it would be difficult for someone to claim squatter’s rights if the property owner reported a burglary while the intruder was actively entering the home.Hope this helps!

After researching further though on social media and then criminal records I found about 12 previous arrests and numerous convictions burglary, theft, criminal trafficking, molestation (don't think convicted), battery. 

There has been multiple break-in's at the property, some of which have been burglaries and some have been squatters.
