Hey STR investors — looking for some insight from anyone operating Airbnb/STRs in Dallas, especially in the older urban neighborhoods near Fair Park, Deep Ellum, and Downtown.I’m analyzing a property located in an MF-1(A) zoning area with no HOA — so STR is allowed by right (no variance, no hearing, no special permit).

Snohomish County is a solid market with strong rent demand, but deals at that size (18+ units) definitely come with a few lessons learned the hard way for most first-timers.A few insights from what I’ve seen working with investors on similar deals:Financing surprises – Lenders in this range (especially local banks and credit unions) tend to underwrite more conservatively than the broker-provided OM suggests.
