Hey! Want to get to know me better? I was born and raised in NYC’s Washington Heights and lived there for most of my life. Except for 5 years that I lived in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic from age 7-12. That was a beautiful time and I go back as often as I can, the Caribbean sea is where my heart is. I went to Syracuse University not knowing what I wanted to do, so I double majored in English and Textual Studies along with Communications and Rhetorical Studies. As soon as I graduated from Syracuse, I took on a Customer Service role with Verizon Wireless from there I moved on to Sales, Data Sales and lastly Assistant Manager. I left Verizon pursuing the passion of working with animals so I took on a role with the ASPCA as a Community Outreach manager for their mobile Spay and Neuter clinics. This was a short-lived experience and I’m so happy it was, as it led me to discover my passion for business. At this point in my life, I was already married to my awesome husband Grant and together we embarked on the journey of entrepreneurship, in which we jointly operated our tattoo studio. We started with a tiny location at NYC’s East Village, a few years later took on the location right next door and brought in a few more artists and ran two side by side retail fronts. In 2018 we decided to expand our services to the West Village to open a tattoo and piercing studio. Things were going great, our lease was running out at the East side location and we were on a mission to mimic our west side business on the east side, until the unexpected happened. COVID-19, this shifted my life and showed me how things can be taken away from me in a moment's time. I did not want to be in such a vulnerable position, especially after working so hard to build the Red Baron Ink Tattoo brand. In 2020 I ventured on my own while still helping with the shop as much as I could to keep it going and joined New York life as a life insurance agent. I learned so much about life insurance products and investment products and still share my knowledge with everyone I meet as it's one of the best ways ( in my opinion) to build generational wealth. At the same time I became pregnant and had my beautiful son Grayson, love that boy! I wasn’t able to keep up with the demands of being a life insurance agent but really enjoyed working at New York Life. I was lucky enough to get a new role in the company as a Recruiting Coordinator for the lower Manhattan office. Although I loved working there and helping people find new career paths, I did not feel fulfilled professionally. Real estate was in the back of my mind as it's something I’ve always wanted to do. I have read a lot of books on investing and earning passive income. I figured why not be a part of the industry that will help me achieve those personal goals. After some soul-searching and goal setting I decided to pursue my Real Estate License. I have learned that in life everything is a result of the energy you put into it. I am putting my energy into Real Estate as it allows me to be the mother I want to be for my son and the partner I want to be for my husband.
