Did you miss the Self Storage Bus?

Not in the least Bit!! I have been involved with Self Storage Construction and Development for over 20 years. One of my passions in life. Great projects, quick turn around. I was extremely lucky to have met and worked with the major players in the business. Such as the conpoenent and structural manufactures of Doors, Liner panels structural stell, etc. What is so amazing about this business, is how diversified the business has become. It's just not a 10 x 10 unit anymore. Sizes have changed and uses have changed. Just when you think you have seen all the mini storage's possible in one area, another one opens up.

There's still plenty of room and new concepts comming out. Now with foreclousures rising, so is the demand for storage units. Just look at Discovery Channel or History channel " Storage Wars" . Repo's also take a huge part of the business and Local townships and law enforcement agencies are renting the units. Boat storage, RV storage and Car storage.  Documentation storage is on the up rise. Some investors ask me to save money in development in raw land, so conversions are very popular.

You can learn about the business many ways. One free and easy access to the business is the Web. There are several websites free of charge to investigate. One is ISS- Inside Self Storage ,www.insideselfstorage.com is a publication for the Trade. It is also the Host of 3 yearly National Conferences and trade shows, usually in Vegas, Nashville, Taho or Florida. This show was originated by Troy Bix of Virgo Publishing,  editor and VP of ISS Magizine.

If you are curious about getting into Self Storage world and want a the best education you can get in 4 days, then attend the seminar and show. I highly recommend it. The and 3 day seminar run's about $750-$1200 per person.Well worth it. Check the web-site for datyes and costs.

They invite guest speakers in all aspects of the trade, from Real Estate professionals, Management Companies to Marketing Professionals. This is where I meet my clients and its a great time as well. I am well known in the business and know most of the players. They say the Self Storage industry is the " smallest biggest business" in the country. The least amount of players for the largest amount of gross income.

If you have a property in mind or want to purchase a facility, drop me a line and I will guide you in the right direction. Don't waste money with "wanta-bee's"

Good Luck
