Hi Everyone, I'm a new member from Concord (East Bay Area) CA. I've been lurking on this site for a few months now, reading books and listening to podcasts every day. I think I finally have a good base of information to work off of and I'm ready to start networking and making connections to put my first deal together.

I will be an out of state investor looking for small multifamily properties to buy and hold to start. In the next few months I'll be starting to put a team together; I'm looking at the Cincinnati or Dayton OH area for my first property.

My plan is to use REI as a way to supplement my income (my day job is physical therapy) and build a nice RE portfolio to allow my family to travel and retire by the time I'm 55.

I want to thank everyone who contributes to this site, the information on here is awesome.

Look forward to connecting!!

HI @Matt Thompson, Welcome to BP. Southwest Ohio is a great area to invest for cashflow properties.

A couple suggestions, although you should have these from the podcasts.

  1. Visit the area before you buy anything.
  2. Find a great property manager in the area.

Just getting those two items complete will go a long way toward your success.

If you have any questions on the area, feel free to reach out.
