Hey everyone! To celebrate the new ability to upload photos easily here on the forums, I'd like to start a "before/after" thread here on the site so people can post their favorite transformations!

This is YOUR time to show off!

To upload a photo, simply click the little "picture icon" above a new message box!

For the purpose of this thread- simply upload a before picture, followed by an "after" picture! You can talk about the transformation as well, if you want to, or just add the photos. It's up to you!

Also - feel free to ask questions or leave comments on people's photos! Let's see how big and epic we can make this thread :)

(The best transformation photos we'll be sharing on Facebook!)

I'll kick things off with one of my all time favorites (which came from the house I flipped several years ago - I talk about in my article "How NOT to Flip a House")

My favorite part of this entire flip was the travertine tile medallion in the floor. I got it on clearance at Home Depot for $50 and it totally took that kitchen to a new level. Also - you'll notice we opened up that wall on the left, which was a HUGE undertaking that blew my budget by $5k alone (there were 2 load bearing walls right there. Probably not the best decision, but it sure looked cool!)

What's your favorite Before/After transformation? Leave your photos and comments below!

    Ok, this is fun!

    $116k purchase, $54k Fix, $226k sell.

Nothing TOO exciting, majority of the work went into structural repair, and its a big house. 4200 sf, 6 bed, 4 bath. Not pictured, 3 car detached garage.

Looks like I finally got it to work. Just because I can post on a forum, I guess it doesn't mean I'm qualified to operate a computer. All pics are from one house. Paid $5K cash subject to existing $185K loan. Spent $60K on rehab. Sold $340K.

@Aaron Mazzrillo - That's got to be up there with one of the worst I've seen. Wow.

You may not be able to tell but in the before picture the house is up on blocks. The home was built in the rear of the lot so we made the decision to lift the home and move it to the front of the lot and line it up with the other homes on the street. We also added 250 square feet and did a full renovation inside. The house is going on market tomorrow.

This book was sitting on the coach in that house. Either it is the most neglected book on the planet, or it is by far giving out the worst advice....

Hey @Joshua D. that before bathroom that @Aaron Mazzrillo worked on reminds me of the bathroom scene in the movie Trainspotting. Great transformation Aaron!

I think the only bathroom in the country that could possibly be worse is the one that used to be in CBGB. Google it. It's quite famous for being famously disgusting.

    Ontario, Canada Lesson Learned

This was a 2-bdr condo I took back on a Notice of Sale foreclosure for the mortgage I held, (I just bought it back since it was on the market anyway). Silly me, I let the x-owner stay on as the tenant. Never did see any rent money.

It was a 3-week "Lipstick on a Pig" reno for $23,000. Didn't add anything to the bottom line, but I was able to sell it on the mls for full asking. The buyer's were from out of town and never even visited the unit. Good photography for $300.

Between the mortgage and the flip, I broke even. But I got an 'A' in the school of hard knocks.

One of my favorite turnouts. Very Happy with how things can out and even more delighted with how fast and at what price it went for. The power of "due diligence" !!!

@Michael Power At least that education didn't cost you anything but some time. Lesson learned and I'm sure the next one will be profitable. Nice work.

@Ugochukwu Opara Great transformation of that property. What a difference!

Here is another one I really enjoyed:

    Here are some after shots:

I noticed this house is back on the market (and it doesn't look like it was well taken care of)...maybe I'll flip it again.
