TikTok could put HQ in Texas ... maybe Austin?

With Oracle office being in Austin, if this were to happen Austin would be a likely candidate.

President Trump and Texas. Gov. Greg Abbott think Texas would be a good HQ for the spinoff of TikTok. The social media company says it plans to hire 25,000 people in the United States and go public.

If they do move here how many companies have moved here this year?  I don't know as I have lost count! : ) Austin is a great candidate as the tech infrastructure is here. Where is the likely area for them to move? I wish I knew as I would be buying all around it : )

They opened a HQ which has space for 1000 people in Culver City last year, in LA. But after all things happened I wouldn't be surprised if they make a bigger investment and create a new HQ in Austin as you have mentioned.

My guess would be Austin. I know Amazon is putting a big warehouse in Richmond (just outside Houston's SW side)

They're talking Texas, but the city is not announced yet.   Could be anywhere....probably one of the larger cities....DFW, Austin, Houston, San Antonio.  My guess would be DFW due to availability of office space or development space that was pitched to Amazon a year ago or so.  Probably more cost effective and flight availability is good too.  AA is moving Asia hub to DFW in the next year.

We'll see though.......maybe in the end they go to Bryan-College Station on the High Speed Rail Stop.
