Maverick Investor Group Info/Review

Sumit Kumar
Posted

Hi, I am planning to go down the road of real estate investing. This would be my first time and I am looking at maverick investor group for helping me out with some remote investment options and building a long term relationship. Can you give me some feedback/reviews and any concerns with the company I need to be aware of? Thank you

@Sumit Kumar

i don't know anything about the group you named, and so can't comment on them one way or another.

but because you mentioned "remote options" - i'm just going to be blunt.  remote investing is more difficult than advertised, and the expectations of many new investors seem not to be met every step of the way when they are entirely reliant on others for everything.

so - what are you looking to accomplish?  why can't you invest locally?  what are you looking for a service provider to do?  are you properly prepared for how much it costs to buy a property (closing costs) and place a tenant?  are you good with being on the hook for major repairs even if something brand new breaks unexpectedly?  what if you have a rough tenant turnover and have to spend a few thousand dollars to turn a unit, plus bear the cost of vacancy?

if that doesn't sound appealing... maybe this isn't a good asset class for you. if it sounds OK - great, let us know what specific questions you have.

and maybe review these threads to see how expectations were not set.
