PPC Vs. SEO - Which is Best For You?

SEO Marketing Real EstateIs SEO Worth Your Time, Energy & Effort?

Hey you guys. Carter here with CB Home Solutions and today we're going to be discussing the pros and cons of pay per click advertising on Google versus SEO advertising on Google. So the main difference between the two is SEO, search engine optimization is a very longterm play. However, with the time, energy and effort you put towards SEO, you may gain a higher return on investment. Now, with pay per click advertising, it costs much, much more, but your return on investment is sped up and generate deals right away if done properly!

So let's go into the pros and cons of each strategy and how you should implement them in your real estate investing business.

PROS of Google PPC Advertising

So pay per click advertising, pro number one, it is quick and easy to set up and if you watch tutorials online, you can learn how to do it in less than 24 hours. WARNING: Make sure you higher a company to do it if you can't learn!

Number two
, pay per click advertising, at least in my market, averages about $1,500 per closed deal, which is relatively cheap in comparison to direct mail or other lead sources.

Number three
, you can get started with pay per click advertising and rank number one in Google via the ad network much quicker than you could with SEO advertising.

Number four,
pay per click can generate some of the highest quality leads with biggest profit margins because they are searching for you!

Cons of Google PPC

Now, going into the cons of pay per click advertising:

#1 It can be very costly if you do not know how to set it up properly and if you don't have daily budgets in place.

#2 If you're not internet savvy or you're not computer marketing savvy, I would probably hire a company and they charge normally at a minimum $750 to $1,000 per month to run your advertising.

#3 If you do not have a high converting website, you will fail at pay per click advertising. You'll spend much more because leads won't be registering.

So I would recommend getting on investor carrot site because they have the highest converting real estate investor website there is, and that is what we personally use in our business.

SEO Advertising

Now going on to SEO advertising, search engine optimization.

Pros Of SEO Advertising

#1 It has very little to no cost if you're doing it all yourself.

#2 The leads are free to you other than the time you stuck in to get your website ranking well in Google or any other search networks.

#3 Most of the SEO leads that you get are very qualified and looking to sell right away and can be some of your best deals.

Cons of SEO Advertising

#1 t can take a very long time to rank well on Google. If you're in a competitive market, I would say 12 to 24 months. In Not so competitive market, possibly one to six months.

#2 If you do not know what you're doing, you will have to hire an SEO advertising firm and they charge between $1000 to $1500 per month to run all your SEO.

#3 SEO is a continued process and you need to stick time, energy, and effort into it every single month for as long as you are in the business.
