What It Takes To Be A Successful Agent

It is said that success if viewed differently from one person to the next, and thus, is also weighed differently. One values family and when the family grows healthy with kids are successful in life, that is success. Another person might see success with career progression and job promotion. While people value and cherish success, successful people share common habits that make them success. Those habits are consistency and persistency, technological savviness, prioritization, self-care, life-long learning, keeping occupied, and client follow-ups.
Be consistent and persistent. It is all about setting work and personal schedules that one can follow through to completion every day. For instance, reading newspaper in the morning and working on blog posts can be some types of work that the agent can do and add to their routines. He/she can move on to do home showings, talk to the clients, and all the paperwork. There should also be personal “me” time for rest, entertainment, and self-care. Having such a daily routine and keeping it consistent and being persistent to follow through with all the tasks would reduce the stress by giving one a clear picture of what needed to be done for the day. Whatever the schedule might be, consistency and persistency are the keys to be productive and successful in real estate and beyond!
Be technologically savvy. A successful agent is willing to learn and explore options to market and promote their business such as diving deep into social media or embellish blog posts to make them attractive. Blog posts can be a fast and effective way to drive traffic to one’s website in promoting their business and products.
Set priorities. We all have a lot to do in a day. Some of us have multiple jobs both online and on the ground. Some of us have school in addition to regular job(s). Whatever it is, it is important to prioritize so one does not feel overwhelmed. Once the priority is set, one can set the amount of time that can be spent on each task in the order of importance. LiquidPlanner pointed out some steps to help making the tasks clear and keeping them fresh in the mind as one progresses through the day: 1) label the importance of the tasks, 2) allocate specific amount of time to each task, 3) tackle the unexpected with grace, 4) set the tasks that are least important and easily letting go if the time doesn’t permit. Try this out tomorrow!
Get self-care. Eat well, exercise, and let the mind rest. Linking the mind to the body, fuel the body with nutritious healthy food such as a balance amount of fruits and vegetable as well as meat and dairy products. Also, eat in small portions, yet with many meals a day, eat health snacks, consume carbohydrates, avoid fried foods, make your own smooth with protein powder. Also remember to exercise 30 minutes or more a day. Lastly, pay attention to the energy level and enjoy the rewards.
Marketing yourself. Put yourself out there as a real estate agent as well as your business through social media and word-of-mouth. Once that is established, the sky is the limit!
