Real Estate Marketing for Today’s Market Conditions
Marketing your business is the other side of the coin that nobody told me about. When I started wholesaling properties, I focused only on this, and failed to learn how to market my business. I see so many students going down this same road and heck, I can’t blame them. There are too many ‘Guru’s’ out there trying to sell you the next BIG thing and they fail to teach you how to market the business you just spent thousands of dollars learning. It’s important to learn how to buy investment property and ensure a genuine profit, but how do you sell them; especially in today’s market? There are many strategies you can use to market your property, business, and to seek sellers, buyers and other investors. All of these strategies are used every day. You can market online, websites, newspapers, flyers, social media sites, business cards and many more. Where you market your properties is the same for everyone.
But how do you get your real estate marketing noticed in a sea of other advertisements? It’s simple, it’s not where you market, it’s what you say in the marketing that’s important. I’ve learned how to speed market anything and get results fast, developing a winning marketing formula along the way. I think it’s more important to teach my students how to write their marketing rather than copying and pasting someone else’s marketing and hope that it works. You see, there is no one-size-fits-all with marketing, but there IS a winning formula.
The biggest mistake I see with the current marketing strategies is that investors fail to use incentives in their ads. You can create exciting incentives without any out of pocket expenses or lowered sales prices, and they’re a great way to get people to call! Start using incentives and you’ll see a big difference in the amount of calls you receive. If you are an investor wanting to build a better more successful business, you must learn how to market effectively.

Agreed, Chris. The key is to ignore all the chatter from the gurus, and to listen to those people who are actually out there in the field being successful.
