The Advantages of Owning an Apartment over a House in Auckland

What do you think is more expensive? Owning and maintaining an apartment or a house?

Obviously, owning and maintaining an apartment is cheaper than a house because it is smaller. But there are several advantages that you can find in an apartment that is not present in a house. One in particular is the body corporate who is an organisation setup by the owner’s committee. This organisation will be the one responsible in maintaining the apartment building.

All you need to do is to pay the body corporate fee as well as your water and power bill. Everything else will be handled by the body corporate. If you bought a house then you will be the one responsible for the maintenance and other essential expenses. Not to mention the time and effort that you will need to invest in the house. In reality, it is more expensive and time consuming. Therefore, it is more advantageous to own an apartment in Auckland.

If you want to know more about the advantages of owning an apartment, then you can check out my latest podcast: Why Owning an Apartment is more Advantageous?
