Can you buy a house based on the pictures

Wad up , A lot of investors are practicing and teaching virtual real estate investing. But pictures of a house can be very misleading and can really get you in trouble when buying houses. Today let's walk through a house I thought was going to be a great buy based on the pictures. But when I walked inside, I immediately knew the house was going to take $25k more in renovation than I initially thought. From the pictures, it looked like a $40k reno. And further it's the buyers responsibility to sell the house the fastest way possible, so they may leave out some of the repair details in the pictures. I almost bought this one based on the pictures and I'm so glad I didn't. It's amazing what the pictures DON'T tell you in this house.
