Underwriting A Deal - Collateral

When looking at a situation to loan on a particular deal, Jason Balin focuses on several key factors. The most important one is the collateral itself. The collateral is the actual piece or pieces of real estate that the transaction revolves around. This is absolutely the most important part. Myself and Jason know our markets very very well and that has a lot to do with why Hard Money Bankers has such a good track record of underwriting. Everything else in a deal can be fantastic, but if the collateral itself is not properly underwritten, the loan is very high risk.
