To test that, you actually have to run water for several minutes down the drains and make sure it doesn't back up, indicating a blockage (tree roots, pipe collapse, foreign objects, bad vent, etc.).

Late applicants: I will wait 10 minutes to allow for them not knowing the roads and getting lost, or getting held up by a traffic blockage.

Its been helpful for clearing my blockages.  

However, the wipes caused major blockage.

This didn't get to the root of the problem, which was a blockage in the main line. 

You inherently will want to please your future mother-in-law and be nice, but that's a horrendous blockage in how you may view the transaction.
