Week of September 15, 2025The Fed finally made its first rate cut of the year, a move that could ripple through mortgages and housing as job market concerns grow.

Both areas are seeing strong growth with new developments, job expansion, and rising housing demand.

I have a good job that I have worked for three months with over two years of good work history and 700 credit scores with over 20 years perfect payment history. 

The returns in such markets is the lowest that any buyer is willing to achieve.Your task is to identify markets that are attractive but are not widely known by RE investors.  

Scaling beyond a handful of STRs with a full time job is not easy and amounts to having another job.

I have a full-time job but do not work in the profession nor do I know anyone in the field.  

My advice in one’s 20s 30s 40s 50s while one is presumably making a good income from their “day job” invest for the future build that net worth. 

That's $20,000 a year without lifting a finger.If I take my $500,000 and invest in a Smokies cabin earning $50,000 a year, I am buying a part time job and probably only netting $27,000 to $29,000 per year after the following expenses:Insurance - $3500 per yearTaxes - $2000 per yearUtilities - $6000 per yearRepairs & Maintenace - $7500 per yearHOA fees - $2000-3000 per year.Total expenses:  $21,000-$23,000 per yearIf I can earn $20,000 per year on my $500,000 with virtually no risk and no effort, versus another $6-8K for much more risk and headache, the juice isn't worth the squeeze.
