It is all about ideology and opinions.

@Emy BernardoI am very sorry you have to deal with the idiocracy ideology of the San Diego Govt.

So ideologically I am not a fan but I cannot change it.  

Horrible economy, high taxes and regulations, landlord unfriendly, and almost completely the blame of the politicians and their ideologies.

My take on the defunding issue is that I feel it's part an ideologically driven thing also part of practical appeasement to calm certain populations that are boiling with anger and despair.

Short term ideological satisfactions rarely ever represent sound, sustainable and responsible policy and this initiative is by no means an exception.

Most of the people moving in were nice and simply seeking a better life (however personally defined)  The few that were bringing their ideologies and forcing them on others are the real source of angst for the "locals".All that to say this flood of people to neighboring states is nothing new.Despite CA being incredibly liberal and ridiculous in so many ways, it will always be crowded and expensive due to so many natural geographical offerings.
