Here is my response to that question:I don't go to casinos to gamble.

They would prefer them to be torn down and apartments, hotels or casinos built there as they bring in a much higher tax base for the city/county.

The place you've mentioned, Is that where Emerald Queen Casino is ?

It was forty minutes from my house, next to the beautiful Golden Gate State Park, fifteen minutes to the casinos of Black Hawk, fifteen minutes to the quirky town of Nederland and twenty minutes to skiing.

Here is Russellville we have the 3rd largest university in the state and are about to get a very large casino resort.Honestly, if I had $150k in cash I would be looking to put $50k down on three different properties and spread the risk. 

Also - another personal funny moment - I love that our society says you can blow money at the casino with equity in your home, but don't you date invest it lol. 

It does have a community college and the Native American reservation nearby has a casino.

From an economic standpoint there is a lot of development going on there with Amazon, the Tiverton Casino, Healthcare and the Development of a large shopping complex. 

In the casino when you are in the black, you are now playing with house money.
