So much good content & dialogue on these forums.

I love the dialogue this started and I appreciate everyone’s contribution to my question. 

I have a long learning road ahead of me and it would be great  I only know my lender, who only works in NC. but some tips: start a dialogue with people.

I never weigh in on differences as that is just healthy dialogue when done with good intention...the post I am referring to was not debate or differing opinion, it was just trolling in my opinion.

Goes to show you political beliefs have now transcended rational thinking, education, and intelligence.Instead of taking a rational approach to this story, perhaps understanding the root of the law, how it would actually happen if rubber hits the road, how to counter the law itself or open dialogue from parties, or even how it might not even happen given the Mayor doesn't support it, people jump to conclusion, wrap it around 'Merica being great or something, and then hit send.People are acting like every single tenant in Seattle will be taking advantage of this.

I also had to go back and read our back and forth dialogue.

Again, sorry for the dialogue that went nowhere, but I did take one important kernel of truth from this exchange, so all wasn't for naught.

I'm hopeful **fingers crossed** that the notice to pay or quit will open up a dialogue with your "quiet" tenant.
