Like talking to a politician.

People please stop letting the politicians take over our country!

Politicians and much of the public are led to believe landlords are all rich and tenants need to be protected FROM us!

These organizations are very powerful and have the ear of all politicians.

Crazy to expect the LL to be financially responsible for this but from a politician perspective they cannot have the tenants suffer more than having their personal items damaged (which is significant but not in comparison to the LL who has damage to the units).By the way the vote was 4 to 1. 

Andrew, we all know how it works... politicians are elected to listen to the people as well , but how often does that happen... right?

Although I am not sure that this is still the case (i am no politician I believe about 2 years ago the Department of Labor initiative forced all advisors to be fiduciary in their trade, now just like any other sales job in the world, whether that holds true ground or not is up to the individual just like a phamarcist prescribing meds or personal trainer selling you his products or real estate agent selling you on a home, loan officers, etc. there are people that have good intentions and some bad in every industry.

And if the state legislature fixes the auto insurance mess, that could be a major factor pulling young people from the suburbs into the city.One caveat... the "two Detroits" narrative is quite real, despite what politicians will tell you. 

On my scale of trustworthiness, wholesalers fall below used car salesmen and politicians, and only slightly above Charles Ponzi.

It's what the bill already says and it's what is scaring most short-term rental owners.Typical politician....he's lying as usual.
