If you use a property manager, they should also have proper insurance, and you should be listed as an additional insured on their policies—just getting a certificate isn’t always enough, you need an endorsement.Finally, remember that insurance premiums are tax deductible, so the cost reduces your taxable income while ensuring your investment is protected.
