New builds or Properties in say Vegas with super low prop tax's and desert environment will be less.. but mid west upper mid west with snow  grass that grows like crazy old housing stock.. cost are more.I personally have zero interest in rentals at this stage of my career..

This brings back memories from 1999/2000 when I was investing in internet stocks and basically lost 90% of my capital (if you think only a totally green rookie could have lost that much, I would agree with you).

There's a copycat website like theirs, with same info but "differen"t, and using stock photos for their team members profile pic, changing the names of the team members slightly...

It's like receiving dividends from a stock you invest in.  

This is based on friday, the stock/ DJIA was down 700 points+ since we can asssume this will continue to just new listings in real estate etc, we are doomed so who cares.....

The policy seeks to diversify retirement portfolios beyond the traditional stock and bond mix. 

You might as well invest in the stock market, although you couldn't use the benefit of leverage (or I should say you shouldn't because I do borrow against stock holdings at an even lower interest rate than your mortgage rates but it's risky and only experienced and very knowledgeable stock investors should do that in my opinion).Mind you, it might still be worth investing in local long-term real estate as long as you're cash-flow positive, even if the profit isn't to your expectations.

Unless you are also holding a significant amount in total stock market index funds for example you are probably not optimizing your potential.

Then I discovered that through real estate, stocks, and passive income that my goals and dreams were attainable.
