I'm married, have three kids, and I live in an upper-middle class type suburb with the lawn and the white picket fence and it costs so much these days to keep a family there, it makes me worry about the future for my kids.

A lender that mostly does white picket fence FTHB type math isn't going to cut it. 

Based on my google maps street view that was updated six months ago, it appears numerous pickets are missing at random intervals.

A lot of people can get a massive mortgage for the house with the picket fence but it doesn't mean they can really afford it or are not stretching themselves too thin.

Put up shutters and maybe a short white picket along that front walk.

Mostly from people in the neighborhood busting through the pickets and walking through to get to the shopping center on the other side.Someone tried to make one of the rooms bigger by extending it into the bedroom.

For example, will these jobs include primarily young families looking for a starter home with the white picket fence, or will they be made up of fresh out of college renters?

I plan on purchasing mf in the downtowns of the cities surrounding Houston, mainly those with a more “Americana” type of feel( white picket fences, 4th of July block parties, neighbors worship together, founding families are still around and they let you know it, high walkability score, families are out on the street with neighbors, doors are unlocked.....)It is tough to comp certain property because they might be the only type (or one of the only two) AND some of these towns do not allow any more MF to go up, so the MF owners set the market.
