If they have a reasonable explanation for the credit score (like maybe they lost their job during pandemic and had to survive on credit..) but they meet the income requirements and rental history (no evictions or current cases) I would ask for double deposit to forgo the credit score.

She and husband quit corporate jobs around age 40 so they probably saved up money from their well paying jobs as well.
