Additionaly, there is some caulking that should be done in the apartment anyway, so I want to try to seal it up better regardless.I'm hesitant to bring in a professional at this point, but I'm not sure if my pre-disposition against that idea is correct or not.

Transparenc, honezty and ethics are the foundation of REI (and life in genetal) in my opinion.  

I suppose it is just my predisposition to not trust someone acting as a broker with no license by using loopholes and alternate language to skirt the law.

Not to mention, that's where they created and placed the genetically modified Zika mosquitoes as well, so you got that on top of everything as well.- Another global health scare...what a coincidence...O_o

I am very different in predisposition and skillset from both, but it works.So, based on this, I'd tell you - stop looking for a partner.

This is due to intelligence (mainly GENETIC (where your genes come from, which is due to where your ancestors lived, duh)), AND willpower (habits your parents and yourself instilled in you due to being used to hardships in life).So you're right in a sense, the difference between rich and poor is due to your parents, but you are right for entirely the wrong reasons.The 6 inches between your ears is all that matters, where those factors are genetic, epigenetic, national circumstance, or coming from a tough place in life.

While that can happen in any neighborhood, a neighborhood that has cages around the AC units seems to be pre dispositioned for it. 

When I am asked about this today, I point out that the Memphis populace may have a natural pre-disposition towards renting single family housing rather than the upward mobility of owning and buying like you might find elsewhere since it is estimated that 50% of the population rents their housing.  

Do not judge certain parts of town based on some pre disposition.
