I highly recommend reading what Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson have had to say about the right for citizens to bear arms.If you want to keep to the original intent of the Amendment (based on the writings of some of the signers), you'd need much better training of gun owners and much more organization for the purpose of keeping the government at bay.
