The current plan would be to hold the 529 until he graduates and then use for college tuition or convert to a Roth if he pursues ministry or trade school.  

Pay a salary and I am no longer a contractor , but your employee , you now need to get workmans comp , insurance and with hold taxes .

However, in the last couple of months I have been struggling to get a hold of them.

However these properties I would imagine would have lower cash flow at least in the first couple of years (maybe I am wrong I am new still of course lol), so I guess my question is how long would you normally hold onto a property until you start seeing positive cash flow?

She won't be paying rent if she holds over, I can tell you that.
