As a consequence, you can't protect yourself, even if the legal system protects individuals better than in the US.Often, inheritance and liquidation tax will murder your equity, while an LLC eradicates your NOI (different tax structure than personal income-generating assets).Now, I'm not talking about a mailbox company in Belize with a front representative in Hong Kong or anything illegal like that, but I keep thinking to myself: there has to be a better way.Who here knows a little about these types of things and where can I get myself educated on the matter?

This year, there is much less coming than the previous years.From what I read, the only way to eradicate them is to have them manually removed.

-Has no crawlspace (common for older properties) so we couldn't see the foundation-Drywood termite/wood decaying fungi damage seen on all the windows/doors/parts of the beam on the exterior, parts of roof decking and rafters in the attic-Old leaks/moisture damage seen in the ceilings and attic-Parts of the roof has patch work-Roof doesn't have any permits on record (don't know how old it is)Seller's offer to me:-Fumigation treatment for drywood termites (tenting the house)-Replace and repair all damage wood throughout the house-Replace the entire roof with a new permit-Replace one window in every room (not all)-Pay for a structural engineer to inspect the foundation-Offer to get quotes for repairs and have a 15-20K budget to make all repairs, house is 500K.

This is called a Non-Decay Fungus (NDF) as, in its current state, does not cause damage to wood.Another type of growth that you should be concerned about is called WDF, or Wood Destroying Fungi.
