The same way the Dish guy would drill straight through mounting a dish on the roof of one of your rentals.

The guys would try to push me right out of the way, have all the fun, then write up their report and leave me to do the dishes if I would have let them. 

People dishing out crap advice or proposing ridiculous limitations are speaking from positions of fear.

I take lots of breaks, I allow myself days where I just go to the park with my dog to read a fiction novel, I don't sweat a cluttered house.If I could give advice to my younger self, I'd tell me to do the above - forget the dishes and go play with my daughter. 

Spending time at my parents cottage, thrift shopping, gardening with my son, and listening to the BP podcasts while making dinner or washing dishes.

All this STRONGLY directs a focus to Satellite Markets. 

So I take the best of those - small portions of rich food + wine from the French - fish, seaweed, and soy from the Japanese, and grain-based mostly vegetable dishes from the Lebanese.

Unless I am on the road my wife has not cooked or done a dish in that time..

For the kitchen I added a dish cloth, two wine glasses, a bottle of non-alcoholic wine and a Ikea metal fruit basket.
