Unfortunately, this led to a fairly substantial amount of water leaking to the unit below and causing at least some visible wall/ceiling damage.My tenant caused the flooding (he has admitted in writing that this was the case).

Having it in the ceiling definitely free up lots of space, but I personally prefer it to be in the closet or garage, just because I can spot any problem (leak, noise, etc...) right away.

Tenants often do not keep up the little stuff, or report small drips/leaks under sinks, etc...And you should be getting 2-3 times monthly income from a STR.....are you not asking enough?

Sams club has had some good prices on new ones.I don't know what brand we have, but it has been repaired several times.New pump, multiple leaks fixed.If I were to get a new one, I would talk to the hot tub repair guys and ask them which ones were easiest to work on and easiest to get parts for.
