The unbelievable bullcrap Roosevelt got away with using in the early 1930s to denounce gold ownership as "hoarding" in America was deftly tied into the then-widespread and largely condoned anti-Semitism in this country, which Roosevelt very much shared as a matter of course.That American Jews tended to trust gold investments over others meant that Roosevelt's gold edict disproportionately stole more from them versus other ethnic groups in the country (most notably white Anglo-Saxon Protestants like Roosevelt).
