I think everyone understands the reason for locks and thermostats but I would also add lighting control so you can ensure everything is off once everyone leaves which would save a ton of money and speakers so you guests can enjoy music anywhere in the home if they want (after all it is a vacation :). 

I've been working for myself in the music industry for the last 10 yrs.

I find I rarely listen to music in the car anymore as I always have an audiobook or podcast going.
