Hi @Joel F.I don't know tons about foreign investments but I travel to the Dominican several times a year and build houses/ churches in several villages so I figured I would throw my opinion out there.   

(Yes those guys that call you for the donations that get you a decal from the cops that allow you to run every GREEN light in town)The second was night security/janitor for the Carpenters Home Church.

However, I have taught thousands over the years (mostly in church) to better their lives by eliminating bad debt.My becoming a full time real estate investor was based more upon financial stewardship than finding a lot of real estate deals.

Prayer has become a big thing in my life, I actually found my contractor and now business partner from church. 

. * 80 unit apt* 110 unit apt* 35 unit apt* small strip center* church+school+land deal* NNN car dealership (Tesla!)

I've even been trying to get someone here on BP to sell the Indianapolis Fletcher street property (converted church) so I can exchange my beach front Honolulu Gold Coast condo in Jan or Feb. each year with the new owners.  

It was not a fortune but paid for a pizza dinner out with my wife and a couple friends.Three fourty yard dumpsters and a few donations to the local church later I was finally able to assess the situation.

I noticed a lot of people in my church (LDS) moving out of town as they could not find a way to buy a home with one income.
