This could be huge, or something like the ADU legislation that came out in 2017 and then revamping in 2020 due to convoluted items that made the building very strict to almost nonexistent.The main reason ADUs are hard to get the best value for now is that the appraisals come in short (depending on the comps in the area of course).

Anyone else hear of passed legislation mandating the property managers in addition to property owners are now responsible financially for any repairs not done on properties, taxes not paid and rental certs not submitted/paid for, lead based paint fees/apps and required work, HVAC certs every year and proof utilities (water/sewer) as paid, and general compliance matters?

In Ontario, you have one of the most pro-tenant agencies in the country ... as @Luc Boiron pointed out, you cannot even compel a tenant to leave at the end of a term lease.Here in NB, long-term tenant has a specific meaning in the legislation: a tenancy which has lasted 5yrs or longer.
