Governor Desantis' Executive Order banning evictions for non payment of rent was extended through at least July 1st (and the CARES Act extends if even further if you have Fannie/Freddie financing in place or accept any type of Federal assistance such as Section 8).Even an eviction attorney's hand would be tied right now, and the courts are a gamble. 

That is why the province of Ontario banned them outright on public safety grounds some years ago.

@Fahad SiddiquiAs of now you can but I know alot of cities and counties have discussed banning application fees because the amount of tenants particularly of low income complaining about the fees associated with moving and not getting accepted.

This is if you do all the management yourself, (basically buying yourself a part time job), ar good at marketing and interior design, and if your local government doesn’t flip the switch and ban STR or limit the ways you can use it. 

I've been in the county STR meetings in multiple regions many people want to ban it, even in established vacation areas where it used to seem totally safe to operate.

@Mary M. do you just self insure banned breeds or does your insurance company not care. 

Words like that on this site could get you banned or scolded.   

There is one town near Mt Snow, for example, that has an outright ban on STRs.

@Sebastian Boruta Even smaller condo buildings outside of downtown (3-6 units) are starting to ban short term leases, so finding a condo for this purpose is incredibly difficult.
