I think we could get away with 6 in some counties. but 8 is definitely against some codes. given the situation we were in, we took the risk.2) insurance is like $3k per year and covered like an STR insurance policy. since average stay is 8-10months. 3) we only accept 4 parking spots. the others usually take public transport and homes are always within 10min walking of bus stop4. bypassed this. because we're only putting up walls, and not actually adding sqft or adding rooms (a room needs to have a closet). its just considered an office space so no permitting required. we'd only be facing the possible max allowable people that can live in a home that are non-related.
