People might change your settings or misuse the account without meaning to, and fixing those issues could be annoying.

Take PayPal, for example: if the company decides for some reason that your account has been misused, it has the power to freeze all of the assets held in the account, without consulting you.

WHen you are passive investor, you become the dumb money , your money is being misused or mismanaged by more experienced sponsor/operator.

Mastercard just bought an on chain forensics company, to help detect tax evasion and other misuse.
