It's not uncommon for a city to have a wait list so long (say, 24-30 months or longer) that they stop accepting new applications.If the wait list in your city is in a similar situation, it's probably not practical to go through the trouble to convince current non-Section8 tenants to apply.

Not sure if her family situation gives her some sort of priority with some of the housing programs specifically... it is not uncommon to have housing waitlist in the 5 year range in some cities.

. :)then in up years like now when building is strong prices really go up.. mid 90's when Japan was on fire what was historically a 400 to 600 dollar MBF log market became a 1200 dollar log market for about 4 years.. it was not uncommon for us to make 500k NET on one 40 acre patch..
