You either like or you don.tOn my new build project in Oregon  90 homes  700k to  1 mil finished product our buyers expect perfection. and as such our subs are the best I can buy.. the ONLY thing I pay direct for is the lumber package and Truss package  and the framer does all the take offs for us and that is included in his framing labor billing..

A key note is that I am a framer for new construction and also have all the subcontractors.

Boots for tree cutters, framers, not dress shoes. 

However, the first 5-7 months would be the better time frame.

This can be a PITA unless you have a good Contractor/Framer.

In other words, take POWER from the masses.We can argue "intent" about the Constitutional Framers until the cows come home.

Back when I was a framer (way back) I bid for some contracts from one of them and he said my price was too high.

Does anyone have a good framer who has done work on adding additions to older houses (built in 1895!) 

Now the labor part showing what I pay my framer will be questioned and so on.
