In my opinion, managing rentals is not rocket science. 

Solar panels and wind power are nothing but marketing and corporate welfare based on junk science.

It's part Art, part Science.

It's not rocket science to manage a property, and it makes so much more sense to own a property you can easily get to to see what's going on.A property manager will cost you much more than just the monthly fee. 

However, the best example is that airlines no longer are allowed to ask for proof that a service animal is required.Plus, because the use of service animals have extended so far beyond the previous scope of assistance animals, it becomes a quagmire as you get into situations where diabetics use dogs that can detect an oncoming blood sugar crisis before a blood test; people with seizure disorders have dogs who can detect an oncoming seizure, which medical science can't outside of an MRI/CAT/EMG; and therapy animals used to calm people with emotional &/or psychological disorders.  

I would be there for my MS in Environmental Science.

This business isn't easy, but it's not rocket science.  

And many of these firms are hiring talent of all ages certainly, but in the area of robotics, sciences and other technology fields, a lot of young urban professionals are coming from CMU and need places to live close to these businesses.
