The deeds are in the name of my LLC now, but if I re-deed the properties in my personal name, I can get a good rate on the mortgages (that's what the broker is telling me.)Here's the problem: I'm being told I have to wait 6 months after re-deeding before I can refinance.

Maybe it is just ease of transfer...have 10 properties and you pass away, you don't have to redeed everything to the heirs....just transfer the LLC. 

To do this involves getting the property resurveyed and then re-deed it. 

I would just make a new LLC and re-deed the properties you are going to keep to the new entity.

Hi, @Darren Eads, you point out a preference between people and some people love residential (SFH & 1-4 Units) and some people love going bigger.

The credit union I'm working with proactively brought up to me that if the properties were in an LLC that I'd need to re-deed them into my name, refinance, then re-deed them back into the LLC.
